Your Interview

All Hematology/Oncology Fellowship interviews will be coordinated directly by the Fellowship Program Coordinator at SUNY Upstate Medical University. Applicants considered for an interview will be contacted and invited to SUNY Upstate Medical University for an interview with the Program Director and selected faculty.

Application review begins in the month of August. Applicants are then selected by the committee and invited to an interview in late August/early September. Interviews are held virtually in the months of September and October. During the interviews, each applicant will meet with the Fellowship Program Director, Associate Program Director, and three Hematology/Oncology faculty members. At the close of interviews, the committee will reconvene to choose the ranking list. The ranking list will then be submitted to the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). Appointments for fellowship will be made through the NRMP; therefore, all candidates must register through the Match to be considered.
