Dr. Iskander received her Medical Degree from Ain Shams University School of Medicine in Egypt and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Lahey Clinic with Tufts University in Massachusetts in 2004. Prior to accepting her role as Assistant Professor of Medicine at SUNY Upstate in 2023, Dr. Iskander previously worked for 17 years with St. Joes Hospital in Adult Medicine. She has been in practice for over 20 years. Since joining Upstate, Dr. Iskander has brought in many patients to continue to provide exemplary care to, and also assists in working with students who complete clinical or observation hours.
Outside of her medical career, Dr. Iskander is a highly involved board member with S. Mary and St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Iskander conducts herself in all capacities with the highest level of ethics and also has a big heart in caring for her patients.
