Medicine Electives

Upstate Medical University provides a comprehensive range of medical electives that broaden our students' academic horizons. These electives offer insight into specialized fields of medicine, imparting valuable hands-on experience and fostering a deeper understanding of patient care.

“Away” medicine electives are available for all students who are in good standing at LCME-accredited medical schools, like SUNY: Upstate Medical University. Below are courses that are available to students with the permission of their instructor on a “space available” basis.

If you are interested in taking one of the medicine electives below, please contact the Registrar’s office.
