ACGME Reporting Milestones

The fellows’ progress is now evaluated through 23 - Internal Medicine Reporting Milestone. This is a semi-annual evaluation that is completed by the Clinical Competency Sub-Committees (CCC), which is a conglomerate of the program director, faculty, and program coordinator.

The Milestones are based upon the ACGME-mandated six (6) core competencies:

  • Patient Care (PC)
  • Medical-Knowledge (MK)
  • Practice-Based Learning and Improvement (PBLI)
  • Interpersonal Communication Skills (ICS)
  • Professionalism (P)
  • System-Based Practice (SBP)

CLER

The Clinical Learning Environment Program (CLER) is designed to provide US teaching hospitals, medical centers, health systems, and other clinical settings affiliated with ACGME-accredited institutions with periodic feedback that addresses the following six focus areas: patient safety; health care quality; care transitions; supervision; fatigue management and mitigation; and professionalism.
